Located in Piracicaba, São Paulo State, it has a production capacity of over 160,000 tons a year in heat-sensitive, self-copying and couche paper. Production is shipped to a distribution center in Campinas, which can store about 20,000 tons.

Productivity at this unit underscores Fibria’s position as a market leader in heat-sensitive and self-copying paper in Brazil and the largest manufacturer of heat-sensitive paper in South America.

Heat-sensitive paper has had special investment made in it. It is used to make fiscal coupons, bank statements, cinema, show and theatre tickets, airline tickets, bank payment slips, and barcode labels, among other applications.

Termoscript KPR has also been developed at this unit, a special paper that preserves information for up to seven years, which is so far unique in this kind of paper in Brazil. The product had R$ 15 million invested in it in new technology.

Since 2007 the Piracicaba mill has been certified ISO 14001, attesting to its environmental commitment.
