Fibria is on the market for couche, self-copying and heat-sensitive paper, and contributes to supplying the Brazilian market with production of over 130,000 tons of eco-efficient white paper a year. Its main clients are promotional printers, publishers and distributors.
Different programs and initiatives set apart its relationships with its clients, chiefly:
Fibria Eye on Quality Program
Created for Fibria clients who use self-copying paper, the Fibria Eye on Quality Program certifies companies, creating network of convertors able to use and guarantee aspects of legibility and durability in the image for self-copying paper.
The companies taking part go through a certification process that analyzes all the stages of the process, from raw material to delivery to the end user. Certified clients have the right to use the quality seal that proves the authenticity of the self-copying paper made by Fibria.
This initiative guarantees the effectiveness of the self-copying paper by promoting the proper use of the paper and the constant training of client. It is supported by the Association of Commercial Automation Equipment Manufacturers (Afrac) and the Brazilian Form Association (Abraform).
Fibria Total Performance Guarantee Program
Developed to create a competitive differential for clients buying Fibria’s heat-sensitive paper that operate correctly on the market, making proper use of the paper for the correct application and constantly looking ahead of the competition that uses the inappropriate paper for certain applications.
It is also important to establish for end users that the quality of the raw material and the converter chosen is key to the proper functioning if the end product.
The program takes in quality throughout the chain, from raw material, to handling and conversion, guaranteeing the image of the end product.
Fibria Eco-Efficiency in Printing Program
In a pioneering drive, in partnership with the Senai Theobaldo De Nigris School, in May 2008 the Fibria Eco-Efficiency in Printing Program was launched, to promote eco-efficiency and environmentally responsible production, as well as the development sustainable printing companies.
The program aims to help publishers and printers become eco-efficient, by using fewer natural resources. Fibria and SENAI to this end implemented all the stages that involve a sustainable project: analysis and diagnosis of the company’s operations; training on eco-efficient concepts and procedures; immersion in the operation and the suggestion of action the company can take to achieve the desired level of eco-efficiency, which will allow it to be certified on the program.
To be certifies, printers are audited by SENAI, which evaluates whether all the fundamental requirements have been complied with. The aim is for the printer to be considered eco-efficient in regard to five elements Fibria considers essential to life: water, air, land, energy, and people. To be awarded the Master Seal, which classifies the printer as eco-efficient, it must be awarded the seals proving its sustainable operation in regard to all these five elements.
The certificate is valid for a year, after which the company is audited by SENAI again.
Among the benefits for certified companies are improved competitiveness; reduced use of raw materials and inputs; improved waste management; reduced losses; reduced waste treatment and disposal costs; improved image and compliance with legal and certification requirements.
