11.05.10 - Fibria’s Sustainability Report is among the best in Brazil
Fibria’s Sustainability Report 2009 has been placed on the shortlist of the country’s best 29 such reports, according to the survey “Road to Credibility: a study of sustainability reports in Brazil”, released in São Paulo on October 28th. This publication is the result of a study carried out by the international consulting firm SustainAbility, in partnership with the FBDS (Brazilian Foundation for Sustainable Development).
Fibria is one of three companies in the pulp & paper sector included on the list of 29 companies that obtained the highest rating, from a total of 137 reports that were eligible for consideration under the study.
SustainAbility has been conducting the Global Reporters survey since 1993, using specialized methodology to assess 4 key aspects of sustainability reports: Governance and Strategy, Management, Presentation of Performance, and Accessibility and Assurance. The first Brazilian edition of the Global Reporters survey was carried out in 2008, kicking off an historical series of local surveys with published results.
