January 03, 2017 - Fibria raises R$1.25 billion from issue of Certificates of Agribusiness Receivables (CRAs)

São Paulo, January 3, 2017 – Fibria, the world’s leading producer of eucalyptus pulp, announced today (3) the close of the issue of Certificates of Agribusiness Receivables (CRAs), which resulted in the subscription and payment of certificates in the aggregate amount of R$1.25 billion.

Fibria issued two series of CRAs: one series with a term of five (5) years (due in 2022) in the amount of R$755.771 million with interest corresponding to 97% of the overnight rate (CDI); and one with a series of seven (7) years (due in 2023) in the amount of R$494.229 million with interest corresponding to the IPCA inflation rate + 6.1346% per annum. The CRA issue was backed by export credit notes (NCE) owed by the Company.

“We finalized our fourth CRA operation with the placement reaching a high volume, which demonstrates that investor confidence in Fibria remains high. We remain well capitalized and with a robust cash position for 2017,” said Guilherme Cavalcanti, Fibria’s Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer.

The issue aims to raise funds for Fibria’s agribusiness activities, as well as for production and sales in connection with its pulp export program.

Itaú BBA, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Banco Votorantim and Santander acted as the managers of the CRA issue, which received a rating of brAAA from Standard & Poor’s (S&P).
