September 15, 2015 - Fibria is once again included in the portfolio of the New York Stock Exchange sustainability index (DJSI Emerging Markets)

The 100% Brazilian company and world’s leading eucalyptus pulp producer is the highlight in the Forestry and Paper Products sector in Emerging Markets

São Paulo, September 14, 2015 – Fibria, a Brazilian forestry company and the world’s leading eucalyptus pulp producer, has been selected for the 2015-2016 stock portfolio of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Emerging Markets (DJSI Emerging Markets) on the New York Stock Exchange. DJSI is the key sustainability benchmark in the market for listed companies.

In the 2015-2016 DJSI Emerging Markets, only two companies from the Forestry and Paper Products were selected from among the eight that competed: Fibria and Duratex, both from Brazil. The 2015/2016 portfolios of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index were announced on September 10th by RobecoSAM, a Switzerland-based independent firm focused on sustainable investments.

For Marcelo Castelli, CEO of Fibria, continuing in the DJSI Emerging Markets portfolio attests to the company’s commitment to sustainability. “Fibria’s continuation in the principal global sustainability index is recognition of the company’s efforts in the environment, social and corporate governance areas and of our initiatives to mitigate the effects of climate change, besides contributing to improving our credibility among shareholders and investors,” he said.
