Units – Fibria

The world’s largest producer of eucalyptus pulp from planted forests, with annual production capacity of over 7 million tons, Fibria has three own industrial units located in Aracruz, Espírito Santo, in Jacareí, São Paulo and in Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul. The latter unit recently underwent an expansion project, with a second production line starting up in August 2017.

In partnership with the Swedish-Finnish group Stora Enso, Fibria holds a 50% interest in Veracel, in Eunápolis, Bahia, which each year produces over 1 million tons of bleached pulp.

In association with Cenibra, Fibria operates Portocel, in Aracruz, Espírito Santo, which is the only Brazilian port terminal specializing in pulp.

With over 18,300 employees and outsourced workers, Fibria invests in people development. Among other initiatives, it maintains partnerships with the National Industrial Training Service (SENAI) and with technical schools to promote the development of specialized professionals to support the Company’s growth. Fibria interacts with these schools and takes part in curriculum development to ensure the development of specialists in fields for which there is effective demand in a specific region.

The challenge Fibria undertakes is to create and share value and to guarantee in all phases of its operations a systemic vision of operational productivity and stability, combined with sustainability and low costs. The company adopts sustainability concepts for the integrated management of water, waste and energy efficiency, and also monitors strategic environmental topics based on the Environmental Development Indicator (IDA), a tool that evaluates the quality of industrial processes.
